Dale Earnhardt Jr. wins NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Talladega, full Geico 500 results

Dale Earnhardt Jr. won Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway.

The driver of the No. 88 Nationwide Chevrolet finished ahead of Jimmie Johnson and Paul Menard at the 2.66-mile track which is the longest on the Sprint Cup Series circuit.

Jeff Gordon began the race on the pole. With the win Earnhardt now has six career wins at Talladega which is second all-time tied with Gordon.
