Kevin Harvick posted the fastest time of the 43 cars that took to Watkins Glen International for the opening round of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice on Friday.
Harvick turned his best lap on his final trek around the road course posting a time of 68.652 to beat out Jimmie Johnson and Brad Keselowski for the days best. AJ Allmendinger and Marcos Ambrose rounded out the top five.
The Cup Series will run another practice on Friday beginning at 4:30 pm ET before qualifying on Saturday morning. The Cheez-It 355 will take place on Sunday beginning at 1:00 pm ET.
