Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III will be the honorary pace car driver for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Richmond International Raceway on Saturday night.
The news came after Dale Earnhardt Jr. invited Griffin to the race suggesting that RIR have him perform some activity before the start of the Toyota Owners 400.
After a short conversation on twitter it was then announced that RIR had secured Griffin III to be a pace car driver for Saturday’s race to which Earnhardt Jr. said would be great for fans of both sports.
