Brian Scott will make his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Oct. 12 driving the No. 33 Shore Lodge Chevrolet SS.

Scott, 25, has competed in the Nationwide Series for the last five seasons notching eight finishes inside the top-five in 136 starts.

“I’m really looking forward to making my Sprint Cup Series debut at Charlotte Motor Speedway,” Scott said in a team released statement. “It’s something I’ve dreamed about since I got into racing. I really like the track and it will be really cool to do that in front of the NASCAR home crowd. It’s a great opportunity, I’m so thankful to everyone at Shore Lodge and Richard Childress Racing for putting this together and giving me the chance to compete against the greatest drivers in our sport.”

Prior to joining the Cup Series, Scott will also be running the Nationwide Series the previous evening.
