On Friday NASCAR gave four-time Sprint Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon a spot in the Chase becoming the 13th driver in a field of 12 Chase drivers.

While fans of Gordon celebrated his berth in the Chase one driver was confused. That driver is Martin Truex Jr. who saw his spot in the Chase go away on Monday.

“I’m not even sure what to say at this point,” he said, via USA Today. “I’m kind of at a loss for words. They kick me out to make a spot for somebody and then they don’t do the same for the other guys.

“It’s just unfair and (there’s) nothing I can do about it.”

Martin Truex Jr. was kicked out of the Chase to make room for Ryan Newman after NASCAR declared that Michael Waltrip Racing made questionable decisions at the end of Saturday nights race at Richmond.
