Jimmie Johnson has four wins this season and regardless of what happens Saturday night at Richmond International Raceway will make the 2013 edition of the Chase.
Johnson’s wife, Chandra gave birth to their second daughter early Friday morning prompting the five-time series champ to skip practice and qualifying.
The No. 48 Lowes Chevrolet will be qualified by Regan Smith but Johnson will be back behind the wheel for Saturday nights race.
Richmond is the last race before the Chase and does not appear again on the 2013 schedule.
