Kurt Busch made contact with the wall at Martinsville Speedway engulfing his No. 78 Chevrolet in fire. Busch was able to press the fire extinguisher inside the car which put out the fire.
The race was red flagged with the cars stopped on the front stretch so that safety crews could remove the car from the track.
In an interview shown on television Busch termed it as a brake problem with the car.
