Mike Wallace will continue to drive No. 01 Nationwide Series entry

JD Motorsports will welcome back Mike Wallace as the driver of the No. 01 car for the 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) season. Wallace is one of the series veterans and has been a part of JD Motorsports driver lineup since 2009.

The organization has not announced who will crew chief the car driven by Wallace or who will drive their other car, the No. 4.

“We are committed to run the 2013 season with our two teams,” said Johnny Davis, who will be making his 475th start as an owner at Daytona in February. “We have done a lot of planning, bought some cars in the latter part of last year and have been improving on our motor program here and there.”

Last season Wallace started all 33 NNS races. His best finish was a 7th place finish at Montreal, a track which will not be on the 2013 schedule. Wallace finished 12th in the overall driver standings after finishing 13th in 2011.

Like some other NNS teams, JD Motorsports is still seeking sponsorship for both of their cars.
