Gordon hopes that Ninja Turtle’s will help continue hot streak

A few weeks ago Jeff Gordon unveiled that he would drive a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles paint scheme for Saturday nights race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The paint scheme is part of a sponsorship between Gordon, AARP, and Nickelodeon’s Helping and Leading Others program on Drive to End Hunger. As part of the program, national PSA have been airing on Nickelodeon channels to reach kids, parents and grandparents.

Gordon says he “didn’t even realize the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had made a resurgence, but I love the paint scheme.”

When the car was unveiled Gordon said he knew his kids would approve of the car. “They love Nickelodeon, my kids, that’s all we DVR, that’s all we watch is Nickelodeon programming and I know they’re going to big fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The kids love racing and they love the paint schemes. As a parent now, these types of moments are very special.”

And to top things off. If Gordon is to find victory lane at Charlotte he has promised to break-dance. Considering Gordon has 5 wins at Charlotte and is coming off finishes of third, second and second those odds would seem to be pretty good.

Gordon is currently 42 points out of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series points lead. He made up five points since a disappointing 35th finish at Chicagoland.
