The Indianapolis 500 will take place this Sunday at the 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway. While 33 drivers will take to the track for a chance at post race milk there is plenty to be seen at Indy before hand.<\/p>\n

Below you can find a schedule of worthwhile events this weekend.<\/p>\n

Friday May 23<\/h2>\n

11 am – 12:00 pm – Indianapolis 500 Practice (Track)<\/p>\n

12:30 pm – Indy Lights Freedom 100 Race (40 Laps)<\/p>\n

6 pm – Gates Close<\/p>\n

Sunday May 25<\/h2>\n

10:15 am – Cars Grid on Track (Track)<\/p>\n

10:15 am – On the Banks of the Wabash (Track, performed by the Purdue University All-American Marching Band)<\/p>\n

10:35 am – Green Flag Delivered by Andrew Luck (Turn 1)<\/p>\n

10:50 am – Vintage Car Laps (Track)<\/p>\n

11:10 am – Military Recognition Lap (Track)<\/p>\n

11:33 am – Indianapolis 500 Driver Introductions (Track)<\/p>\n

11:43 am – America the Beautiful (Track)<\/p>\n

11:45 am – Military Address (Track)<\/p>\n

11:47 am – God Bless America (Track, performed by Florence Henderson)<\/p>\n

11:49 am – Invocation (Track)<\/p>\n

11:52 am – Taps (Track)<\/p>\n

11:53 am – National Anthem (Track, performed by LeAnn Rimes)<\/p>\n

11:55 am – Flyover (Performed by the Black Diamond Jet Team)<\/p>\n
