This year’s All-Star Game is at Target Field in Minnesota…. You know they have Target headquarters there and yet AL Central rival Chicago has it’s Ace pitcher using the name as a ploy for your votes. Chris Sale is the other part of this equation.<\/p>\n
So now we have a #TargetSale. Surely some people who have no interest in baseball will either be confused or simply mad that they can not buy discounted merchandise.<\/p>\n
Perhaps my biggest problem with the whole thing is that Sale is more than deserving of being an All-Star without the final vote.<\/p>\n
Sale has been an All-Start the last two seasons and this year he is putting up the best numbers of his career. His ERA+ is a league best 188 and his WHIP is 0.87, again top in the league. Overall he is 8-1 with a 2.16 ERA in his 13 starts.<\/p>\n
