\nMiami Marlins catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia is still dealing with the effects of a concussion suffered last Saturday.<\/p>\n

While Saltalamacchia is able to come off the 7-day concussion disabled list on Sunday it is looking doubtful that he will.<\/p>\n

“It could go to the 15-day disabled list, but I don\u2019t know for sure,” Marlins manager Mike Redmond said via the Miami Herald<\/a>. “He needs to make sure he\u2019s symptom free. When I say that, I mean headache-free, dizzy-free. … As of right now, he\u2019s still resting.” <\/p>\n

With Saltalamacchia out the Marlins will continue to use Jeff Mathis and J.T. Realmuto behind the plate.<\/p>\n

Redmond is also unsure of when recently signed relief pitcher Kevin Gregg could join the club. Gregg picked up 33 saves with the Chicago Cubs a season ago but right now the plan is for him to set-up Steve Cishek.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
