He recently has been limited to designated hitter duties but the good news is that he not need surgery following a visit to Dr. James Andrews.<\/p>\n<p>Wieters and the Orioles believe the catcher could return as soon as his 15 days are up. Steve Clevenger figures to draw most of the starts behind the plate in Wieters absence.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baltimoresun.com\/sports\/orioles\/blog\/bal-wieters-speaks-about-going-on-the-dl-20140511,0,7083307.story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Baltimore Sun<\/a>, Wieters said the decision to go on the DL was to get him back behind the plate.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ultimately, it was what\u2019s going to get me back catching as quick as possible. And we just kind of felt letting it completely rest as opposed to try and get through swings and kind of get half-ready every day.
