Manager John Farrell spoke positively of Bradley&#8217;s play in center this season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJackie has solidified the defense in center field for us,\u201d said manager John Farrell when he was discussing yesterday\u2019s switch from left field to right field for Grady Sizemore.<\/p>\n<p>Even the return of Shane Victorino should not negatively impact Bradley&#8217;s playing time at this point.<\/p>\n<p>Farrell also told the <a href=\"http:\/\/bostonherald.com\/sports\/red_sox_mlb\/boston_red_sox\/2014\/04\/red_sox_notebook_warning_frustrates_orioles?utm_source=twitterfeed&amp;utm_medium=twitter&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+bostonherald%2Fsports%2Fbas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Boston Herald<\/a> that he likes what he sees in Sizemore&#8217;s play in left field.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wouldn\u2019t say that he\u2019s completely acclimated to left field here. Yesterday was the first time he\u2019s played left field at Fenway Park,\u201d said Farrell. \u201cThere\u2019s still repetition needed. At the same time, we feel like, with his athleticism, he should be able to play the corners with equal effectiveness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While Bradley may be playing well in center the Red Sox will undoubtley hope he picks it up a tick at the plate after he has gotten off to a .220\/.339\/.280 line though his first 17 games this season<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jackie Bradley Jr. is starting to take ownership of the starting role in center field for the Boston Red Sox.
