\nAtlanta Braves closer Craig Kimbrel played catch on Tuesday after sitting out of Monday’s game in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

Kimbrel believes he will be ready to go if Tuesday’s game is not cancelled by bad weather. <\/p>\n

After Monday’s game Braves manager Freddi Gonzalez again spoke that he had no concern about the status of his closer.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot worried at all,\u201d Gonzalez said. \u201cI\u2019m talking to Craig and our trainers. I think it\u2019s one of those things that every reliever goes through. [If we hadn’t gone ahead in the ninth], you guys wouldn\u2019t have even known it. So throughout the course of the season, there are guys that are banged up and they\u2019re not the closer. If it\u2019s not a save situation, nobody would even know, so I\u2019m not concerned at all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Through six gaes this season Kimbrel holds a 159 ERA and a 0.71 WHIP. He has five saves this season and has led the league in that category in each of the last three seasons.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
