He made four rehab appearances prior to being activated.<\/p>\n<p>The Phillies will slide him in a relief role ahead of Jonathan Papelbon. Adams could be used in a few save situations when Papelbon is unavailable, such as Monday night when Jake Diekman was unable to save a game against Atlanta.<\/p>\n<p>In 28 games last season Adams had a 3.96 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP for the Phillies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Philadelphia Phillies have activated relief pitcher Mike Adams from the disabled list.
