The Atlanta Braves have signed first baseman Freddie Freeman to an eight-year extension.<\/p>\n

Freeman, 24, earned his first All-Star selection a season ago. He will earn $135 million over the course of the deal according to multiple sources.<\/p>\n

The Braves deal with Freeman is the largest in franchise history. Freeman will earn an average of $16.875 million over the next eight years.<\/p>\n
