Javier Vazquez retired after the 2011 season but the right handed pitcher may not have thrown his last pitch.<\/p>\n

Vazquez is said to be thinking about a possible comeback according<\/a> to Peter Gammons. Gammons says that the 36-year-old will pitch after Thanksgiving and then pitch in next years World Baseball Classic. Vazquez will then decide whether he will attempt to return to the majors.<\/p>\n

It is unclear who would have interest in Vazquez but with this being a low-risk\/high-reward situation plenty of teams could have interest.<\/p>\n

In 2011 Vazquez went 13-11 with a 3.69 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 162\/50 K\/BB ratio over 192 2\/3 innings with the Marlins.<\/p>\n

A 14-year veteran, Vazquez has a career 165-160 record and a 4.22 ERA. Besides the Marlins, Vazquez has also pitched for the Expos, Yankees, Diamondbacks, White Sox, and Braves.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
