A decision is expected to be made then and announced shortly after.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_7_2_1_1375284886996_3246\">Berkman retiring could give the Rangers added payroll flexibility ahead of today\u2019s MLB trade deadline.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_7_2_1_1375284886996_3249\">Prior to this season beginning Berkman considered retirement before signing with Texas.
