Santana has been traded to the Kansas City Royals <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/Ken_Rosenthal\/status\/263751823456890880\">according <\/a>to FOX Sport&#8217;s Ken Rosenthal.<\/p>\n<p>The Angels held a $13 million club option for 2013 for Santana. The 29-year-old right-hander was a disappointing 9-13 last season for an Angels team that finished third in the American League West. Santana had a 5.17 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP in 178 innings.<\/p>\n<p>Rosenthal notes that the Angels will receive reliever Brandon Sisk and cash considerations in return for Santana. The 27-year-old Sisk appeared in 50 games for Triple-A Omaha last season compiling a 2.54 ERA and a 1.35 WHIP.
