The Los Angeles Dodgers are not in on Cuban right-handed pitcher Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez, according to Ken Gurnick of MLB.com.<\/p>\n

In a previous report<\/a>, Peter Gammons said that the Dodgers were willing to give Gonzalez a contract worth $50 million over the next five years.<\/p>\n

It seems the club has now backed out of the running.\u00a0 The Braves, Cubs, Yankees, Red Sox, Rangers, Phillies, Blue Jays, Twins, and Marlins are among the other teams who have reportedly shown interest in the 26-year-old right-hander.<\/p>\n

Gonzalez recently left Cuba and was declared a free agent by Major League Baseball.\u00a0 The fastball of Gonzalez can reach 96 mph but he typically works in the 90-94 mph range. Scouts suggest that Gonzalez is major league ready now but how much of an impact he would have this season is debatable.<\/p>\n
