The left hander had been pitching with soreness for weeks and was forced to leave Saturday&#8217;s game after re-aggravating it.<\/p>\n<p>The Giants will be left with Javier Lopez and Jose Mijares as left handed options in their bullpen.<\/p>\n<p>In 38 games this season Affeldt holds a 3.51 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP.
