The murder charge against her was eventually dropped because a lack of evidence.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, Evans was murdered following an altercation in the apartment in which Anna allegedly told her boyfriend, Paul Dejongh, to &#8220;get rid of him.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Dejongh apparently took the meaning of that statement as instruction to kill.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RAkFevVcHNg\" height=\"315\" width=\"420\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>After two year on the run Anna Warren was caught, her boyfriend would be caught two months later.<\/p>\n<p>Dejongh was eventually convicted of first-degree murder but later had it reduced to second degree murder on an appeal.
