Surprisingly there is one team interested in Marmol, the Los Angeles Dodgers.<\/p>\n<p>Gordon Wittenmeyer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.suntimes.com\/sports\/21088542-419\/cubs-close-to-sending-carlos-marmol-to-dodgers.html\" target=\"_blank\">reports<\/a> that the Dodgers will provide the Cubs with $245,000 of the remaining salary owned to Marmol.<\/p>\n<p>The 30-year-old Marmol went 2-4 with a 5.86 ERA in 31 relief appearances this season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Chicago Cubs designated Carlos Marmol for assignment on June 25 giving the team ten days to trade their one time closer.
