The former All-Star has hired David Cornwell to his legal team according to USA Today.<\/p>\n<p>Cornwell helped overturn the suspension of Ryan Braun last year after the Brewers outfielder was suspended for a positive drug test.<\/p>\n<p>Rodriguez is gearing up for a legal battle after Anthony Bosch, head of the now-closed Biogenesis of America anti-aging clinic, agreed this week to cooperate with MLB&#8217;s drug investigation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Myself and others are being mentioned in a media report before the process is even concluded,&#8221; Rodriguez said in a statement. &#8220;I would hope this thing would follow the guidelines of our Basic Agreement. I will monitor the situation and comment when appropriate.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As I have said previously, I am working out every day to get back on the field and help the Yankees win a championship. I am down here doing my job and working hard and will continue to do so until I&#8217;m back playing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Rodriguez has not appeared in a game this year as he recovers from hip surgery.
