Thursday nights game ended Monday morning after rain arrived.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Wacha left his major league debut in line for a win. The young Cardinals pitcher allowed a mere run and two hits in seven innings of work while striking out none.<\/p>\n<p>All of Wacha&#8217;s work went for naught as the Royals rallied in the ninth to spoil the night for the Cardinals. Jeff Francoeur hit a solo home run before Eric Hosmer plated two with a double to give the Royals a 4-2 lead.<\/p>\n<p>The rains would then come and force a delay of 4 1\/2 hours.
