Count the wife of Mets pitcher Jon Niese in the pile of fans with lucky charms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m the superstitious one,\u201d said Leah in a recent profile by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nypost.com\/p\/news\/local\/mrs_met_kgHO6J94coDkY8iTmF2vGK\" target=\"_blank\">The New York Post<\/a>. \u201cI have lucky underwear \u2014 they\u2019re Mets underwear.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The couple got married in January after more then three years of dating.<\/p>\n<p>Leah went on to talk about her first encounter with her future husband.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was in a cast from his ankle up to his waist,\u201d Leah recalled. \u201cWe just started talking, and he just seemed like a down-to-earth and really sweet guy. We just took it from there.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Leah says she tries to attend every game that her husband pitches. Last season he finished the year with a 13-9 record and a 3.40 ERA.<\/p>\n<p>The first game of the MLB regular season occurs on Sunday night.
