He was already pegged from Triple-A Norfolk before the liner off the bat of Thomas Neal hit his lower back.<\/p>\n<p>The Orioles are hoping that Jurrjens will provide depth to the back-end of their rotation later this season.<\/p>\n<p>Jurrjens spent the last five seasons with the Atlanta Braves. In recent years he has struggled with a variety of injuries but when he has been healthy he has been a top of the line starter. During his tenure with the Braves the now 27-year-old Jurrjens pitched in 119 games and compiled a 3.58 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP.<\/p>\n<p>Originally the Orioles had agreed to a $1.5 million deal with Jurrjens which could have bumped up to $4 million with incentives.
