The Yankees contacted the 37-year-old Lee about a position for the club. Lee, who retired after the 2011 season, considered the offer for a few days but has notified the Yankees that he has decided<\/a> to stay retired.<\/p>\n

Currently featured on the injured list for the Yankees are third basemen Alex Rodriguez, first basemen Mark Tiexeira and outfielder Curtis Granderson.<\/p>\n
