I believe he\u2019s clean,\u201d Wheeler said.\u00a0\u201dI can\u2019t get too specific about the nature of that discussion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Piazza received 57.8 percent of the 75 percent required for induction into Cooperstown. He was joined on the ballot with other canidates who have previously been linked to PEDs such as Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa and Roger Clemens. None of them received enough votes to be elected to the Hall of Fame either.<\/p>\n<p>A 62nd round pick, Piazza is widely considered the best offensive catcher of all time.
