Jake McGee was re-signed earlier Wednesday and the team also signed former Indians relief pitcher Bryan Shaw.<\/p>\n<p>McGee&#8217;s deal is a three-year deal worth around $27 million which carries a fourt-year option. This past season he 3.61 ERA, 1.099 WHIP, and 58\/16 K\/BB ratio in 57 1\/3 innings while picking up 20 holds and three saves.<\/p>\n<p>Shaw&#8217;s deal is worth $9 million a year for three years. He owns a 3.13 career ERA in 446 1\/3 major league innings and he led all MLB pitchers in appearances in 2017. There was some thought that Shaw might enter the season as the Rockies closer but re-signing Holland would leave him battling McGee for the sparse saves left on Holland&#8217;s off days. Shaw earned $4.6 million last year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE:<\/strong> Others are disputing Heyman&#8217;s report and insist the two sides are just talking.
