Happ inking the left hander to a three-year deal worth $36 million on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Happ was nothing more than a back of the rotation starter during his time with the Mariners last year but upon a trade to the Pirates turned things on. In 11 starts with the Pirates he was 7-2 with a 1.85 ERA.<\/p>\n<p>The Blue Jays had Happ on their roster from 2012-2014.\u00a0The addition of Happ follows the Blue Jays decision to re-sign Marco Estrada to a two-year deal worth $26.5 million and after acquiring Jesse Chavez in a trade with the Athletics.<\/p>\n<p>With the Blue Jays signing Happ to such a large deal the remaining free agent pitchers on the market have to be smiling.
