Hairston spent the last two seasons with the Mets.<\/p>\n<p>Matt Diaz was <a href=\"http:\/\/tireball.com\/mlb\/2012\/12\/26\/matt-diaz-signs-minor-league-deal-with-yankees\/\">signed<\/a> to a minor league deal two days ago but that has not stopped the Yankees pursuit of Hairston.
