Washington Nationals starting pitcher Ross Detwiler will miss the next month with a pinched nerve. The irritation began was created by a disc issue in his back.
The left-handed Detwiler will receive an injection i hopes to speeding up his recovery but Taylor Jordon will continue to take his turn in the rotation until late August.
Detwiler, 27, last pitched on July 3. In 13 starts this season Detwiler had a 4.04 ERA and a 1.49 WHIP.
