Dusty Highes retires from baseball

Dusty Hughes, 30, has retired from baseball. Hughes pitched in 12 games for the Gwinnett Braves at the Triple-A level before being released from his minor league contract last month.

Over parts of three big league seasons the left handed Hughes compiled a 4.99 ERA and a 1.58 WHIP for Kansas City and Minnesota.

Hughes is said to becoming a coach at a private school.
