Veteran left hander Hideki Okajima will give pitching in the major leagues one more shot.

The 40-year-old has signed a minor league contract with the Orioles after not pitching in the majors since 2013. Okajima spent the last two seasons pitching in Japan but was limited to just 10 games this past year. That he had to settle for a minor league deal without an invitation to spring training is not a surprise.

Once a fixture in the back end of the Red Sox bullpen, Okajima owns a career 17-8 record with 6 saves, a 3.10 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP.
