The Chicago Cubs, in a bit of a surprise, let go of pitching coach Chris Bosio after losing the NLCS.
Now the former big leaguer who once threw a no-hitter is set to take the same position with the Detroit Tigers. Bosio, 54, will join the staff of Ron Gardenhire with the Tigers and will be tasked with getting the most out of the arms the Tigers have as they rebuild.

Under Bosio, Jake Arrieta won the 2015 NL Cy Young and Jon Lester and Kyle Hendricks finished second and third in voting a year ago.
The Tigers finished the 2017 season with the worst ERA in baseball at 5.36. Rich Dubee had been the Tigers pitching coach.
