The Giants and Red Sox have been linked to third baseman Pablo Sandoval since the beginning of free agency.
Another team interested in Sandoval is the Padres who are expected to make the 28-year-old a contract offer on Friday. While there are no reports as to what the Padres will offer, they will have to spend at-least $90 million in order to have a chance of landing him.
In 157 games during the 2014 season Sandoval hit .279/.324/.415 with 16 home runs and 73 RBI for the Giants.
