The Atlanta Braves have gotten little to no production from the second base position. On Wednesday the team called up Tommy La Stella from Triple-A Gwinnett.
No corresponding move has been announced. The team could be waiting to see the status of Andrelton Simmons’ ankle.
La Stella, a former eighth-round pick, is a career .322/.407/.474 hitter in the minors and was batting a cool .293/.384/.359 at Gwinnett this season.
Without much power and little running ability, La Stella will need to hit for average if he is to have a impact in Atlanta for fantasy purposes. His defense is considered middle of the road.
