The Texas Rangers are looking for someone to fill a utility role with the team but former player Michael Young is no being considered.
Jon Daniels confirmed to Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star Telegram that the team considered Young earlier this offseason but will now look at internal options.
That said, Jon Daniels said Michael Young likely has many opportunities to play. #Rangers considered him but will go internal for utility.

Daniels feels that another team will offer Young more playing time, something the Rangers cannot.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have been linked to Young multiple times this winter and the New York Yankees have also shown interest.
Young split the 2013 season between the Philadelphia Phillies and Dodgers. Appearing in 147 games Young hit .279/.335/.395 with eight home runs, 46 RBI and 52 runs scored.
