Craig Biggio releases statement about not getting into HOF

For the second year in a row the BBWAA did not elect former Houston Astros player Craig Biggio to baseball’s Hall of Fame.

Biggio finished with 74.8% of the necessary votes this year, failing to be elected by two votes out of 571.

Though writter Brian McTaggert, Biggio released the following statement.

Congratulations to Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, and Frank Thomas. Obviously, I’m disappointed to come that close. I feel for my family, the organization and the fans. Hopefully, next year.

Biggio will return to the ballot for his third try next season.
