Ryan Dempster was throwing with a purpose on Sunday night, right at Alex Rodriguez.
After Dempster missed Rodriguez he finally connected on a 3-0 pitch right in the torso of the Yankees third baseman.
Home plate umpire Brian O’Nora opted only to warn both teams of retaliation which did not sit well with Yankees manager Joe Girardi who began yelling in Dempster’s direction.
