Charlotte, N.C. \u2013 September 12, 2013 <\/b>— A ferocious 1964 Plymouth Belvedere redesigned by champion NASCAR Crew Chief Ray Evernham and an extensively customized, award-wining 1967 Chevrolet Nova will be among the hundreds of investment-grade muscle cars, iconic race cars and rare European collector cars crossing the auction block October 31 – November 3, as RKM Auctions<\/a> (RKMCCA) presents the RKM Collector Car Auction at the Charlotte Convention Center.<\/p>\n Evernham, who teamed with Jeff Gordon to win 47 Winston Cup races and three Cup championships, infused his \u201cForPly\u201d Belvedere with a true rush of NASCAR adrenaline. Under the hood, a Kasey Kahne-driven Evernham Motorsports Dodge R5-P7 race engine has been re-formulated as a fuel-injected 358 cubic-inch V8 that puts 750 hp to the rear wheels. ForPly\u2019s racing theme continues with a functional NASCAR air box, radiator, and a NASCAR 4-speed transmission that feeds the power to a 9-inch rear-end with a 3.60 gear. Combine all of this and the Plymouth is easily capable of 200mph.<\/p>\n Underneath the ForPly\u2019s exterior is just as much collector appeal: the chassis is an authentic NASCAR Sprint Cup COT chassis that raced in the Daytona 500.
