Bouwmeester\u2019s deal is set to begin with the 2014-2015 season.<\/p>\n<p>St. Louis acquired Bouwmeester at the trade deadline from Calgary for Mark Cundari, the rights to Reto Berra and a conditional 2013 first round and fourth round pick<\/p>\n<p>Bouwmeester, 29, dressed in 14 games for the Blues last season, tying for third on the club in points (7) and plus\/minus (+5) while he tied for first in assists (6) and ranked second in time on ice per game (23:24) during the month of April.<\/p>\n<p>The ever durable Bouwmeester has appeared in 635 consecutive games, most in any professional sport.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The St. Louis Blues have signed Jay Bouwmeester to a five-year extension worth $27 million.
