Miami Heat guard Ray Allen picked up his $3.2 million option for next season, according to Chris Tomasson on Twitter.

Allen played in 79 games during the regular season, proving his durability, and averaged 10.9 points while shooting 42 percent from 3-point range.

With Allen’s decision, the Heat will be facing a luxury tax bill of about $30 million for next season. Veterans James Jones and Rashard Lewis also picked up player options for next season.
