Country music star Darius Rucker performed “Wagon Wheel” an unfinished Bob Dylan song that was covered by Old Crow Medicine Show in 2004 at the Grand Ol Opry last month.

One country music fan, whose account has now been deleted (@pkkullman) sent Rucker a racist tweet  regarding Rucker’s song choice that said, “Leave county to the whitefolk”

Rucker could not ignore the fans comment and tweeted back, “”WOW. Is this 2013 or 1913.”

“I’ll take my grand ole Opry membership and leave your racism,” the country music star said.

“Gotta go to bed this has been hilarious tonight. If any hater thinks I care what u think. I don’t make music for u. So don’t listen,” Rucker tweeted before he signed off.
