Riley Herbst and sponsor Monster Energy will return to Stewart-Haas Racing and the No. 98 Ford Mustang for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.
Herbst finished 11th in points during his first season with SHR scoring five top-five, and 13 top-10 finishes.
“Monster Energy has been a great partner. They’ve been with me for quite a few years and to have their support in my career means everything. We’ve been close to getting them to victory lane a few times, and I want to get them there soon. I’m excited that they’ll be back with me on the No. 98 Ford Mustang in 2022, as well. Big things are coming for this team.”
Herbst is looking for better results in his second year with the team.
“Honestly, we’ve learned a lot since Daytona. I’m proud of how much this Monster Energy team has grown since our first race. We’ve come a long way from that brand new driver-team combo when the season started in February. We’ve been able to do a lot with the cards that have been dealt. The good news is that we’ve got another season together to continue to improve. Big things are coming for us.”
