The Bears expect to have left-tackle Jason Peters for Sunday’s game against the Bengals.

With Larry Borom already ruled out due to an ankle issue, the Bears will be elated to have Peters on the field. Borom was placed on inquired reserve on Saturday.

Last week Peters left the game against the Rams before halftime and never returned. The return of Peters should provide better running lanes for David Montgomery.

Raiders place Marcus Mariota on IR

Raiders backup quarterback Marcus Mariota has been placed on injured reserve with a quad injury.

The designation was merely a formality after Mariota was inquired in the Raiders Week 1 win over the Ravers.

In his lone play of the season before going to IR, Mariota ran for 31 yards on a designed quarterback keep. The Raiders will be able to activate him in time for their Week 5 game against the Bears.
