Kyle Kirkwood sweeps Indy Lights events at Belle Isle, Race 2 Results

Kyle Kirkwood led all but one lap in the two Indy Lights races at Belle Isle in sweeping the race weekend.

Kirkwood led every lap from the pole on Saturday and after starting third on Sunday led all but the opening lap to complete the race weekend sweep.

Linus Lundqvist, who sat on the pole Sunday, made a move to get past Kirkwood during a one lap shootout on Sunday but the door was promptly closed by Kirkwood.

Two incidents occurred in the race. Alex Peroni crashed on lap seven. Danial Frost brought out the second caution after 25 laps.

Kirkwood now moves to just four points back in the point standings after eight of 20 races completed. Lundqvist is now the points leader one point ahead of David Malukas who finished third.
