With NASCAR’s suspension of Eddie D’Hondt for an assault on a pregnant woman, Chase Elliott will have a new spotter for the Coca-Cola 600.
Trey Poole is now serving as the spotter of the No. 9 Chevrolet driven by Elliott.
It is unclear how long Poole will serve in the position. Poole served as the spotter of the truck driven by Austin Hill in the Camping World Truck Series race at Charlotte on Friday.
D’Hondt has a court appearance on June 7 for the misdemeanor battery of an unborn child. The court date for the misdemeanor assault of the female is scheduled for June 30.
